Broken Tether
It all started with a hug, that Yuji knew something was wrong. Chiyu's arms weren't tightly secured around his frame like usual, and it felt rather 'distant' to him. "You're leaving me, aren't you." He mumbled, but it was audible enough. Chiyu's silence made his fear come true, and he tried to pull him closer -- afraid that he'd disappear. He didn't want him to leave. He didn't want to be alone.
Their embrace lasted longer than Chiyu intended, and he could feel his shirt dampen a bit. He closed his eyes for a brief few seconds before lowering his head; his lips just millimeters away from Yuji's right cheek. "Don't cry," he whispered; pain suddenly upon his chest. The feeling of guilt. His eyes began to water, and he blinked to prevent the tears from falling. "Please, Yuji..."
The grip around his neck loosened, and the honey blond looked up with red eyes, trying to smile. Something Chiyu would always love about him.
"I hope you're happy with her." Yuji muttered, his smile fading and dark orbs searching Chiyu's own for some type -- any type, of longing, but there was nothing. The older man lifted his right hand to cup a tear-stained cheek, to wipe them away. Yuji raised his own hand to grab hold of it. "You'll always have my heart tethered."
The warmth on his cheek suddenly disappeared, and his hand dropped to his side. The bassist's back was now turned to him, and he was walking towards the door. Yuji stayed where he was, watching him slip his shoes on. Chiyu hesitantly turned his head to him. "I'll be home, this time."
Then he was gone.
Yuji only shook his head, trying to rid of the pain in his chest. He knew what he meant. He hated being this way -- continuously breaking inside, from the cause of a single person. He wanted it to end.
'At least finish what you start.'
